چکیده

Dynamics of the nonradiative transition in bistability centers is studied. The nonradiative transition is induced by an o -diagonal interaction between the two states around the potential crossing region. We propose a model for the lattice relaxation by extending the quantum damping theory to a two level system and analyze the transition dynamics numerically. The transition goes on in two steps; rst during the lattice relaxation process as the phonon wave packet passes the crossing point, then from the relaxed excited state through thermal excitation or quantum tunneling. The persistent photo-conductivity in DX-center and its temperature dependence are also discussed within our model.

Bistability in the Electric Current through a Quantum-Dot Capacitively Coupled to a Charge-Qubit

We investigate the electronic transport through a single-level quantum-dot which is capacitively coupled to a charge-qubit. By employing the method of nonequilibrium Green's functions, we calculate the electric current through quantum dot at finite bias voltages. The Green's functions and self-energies of the system are calculated perturbatively and self-consistently to the second order of inte...

Nonequilibrium phase transition in a mesoscoipic biochemical system: From stochastic to nonlinear dynamics and beyond

A rigorous mathematical framework for analyzing the chemical master equation (CME) with bistability, based on the theory of large deviation, is proposed. Using a simple phosphorylation-dephosphorylation cycle with feedback as an example, we show that a nonequilibrium steady-state (NESS) phase transition occurs in the system which has all the characteristics of classic equilibrium phase transiti...

Controllable optical steady behavior from nonradiative coherence in GaAs quantum well driven by a single elliptically polarized field

In this paper, we analyze theoretically the optical steady behavior in GaAs quantum well structure which interacts with a single elliptically polarized field (EPF) and a π-polarized probe field. Due to the existence of the robust nonradiative coherence, we demonstrate that the controllable optical steady behavior including multi-stability (OM) and optical bistability (OB) can be obtained. More ...
